Fried Cheese Sticks

Your guests will love the warm, melty inside while also enjoying the crisp, delicate outside!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Oralife Cheese Sticks (6, any type)

  • 1 large egg, beaten

  • 30g water

  • 75g seasoned, dried breadcrumbs

  • 42g flour

  • 20g corn starch

  • 350g cooking oil

  • 1g garlic salt

MATERIALS:

  • 3 Medium size bowls

  • Fork

  • Frying pan

  • Steel tongs or wooden chopsticks

  • Stove top burner

  • Paper towels

  • Tray/plate

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In one bowl, whisk water and egg together with a fork.

  2. In the next bowl, mix flour and cornstarch.

  3. In the third bowl, mix breadcrumbs and garlic salt.

  4. Heat oil to 185 degrees Celsius (365 F) in frying pan.

  5. Cover Oralife cheese stick with flour/cornstarch.

  6. Next, dip into egg/water mixture.

  7. Next, cover with breadcrumbs while pressing cheese stick into breadcrumbs.

  8. Fry cheese stick in the hot oil until golden brown (25 - 40 seconds).

  9. Remove from oil with tongs or chopsticks, place onto tray covered with paper towels for excess oil.

  10. Enjoy while warm, enjoy alone or dip into your favorite dipping sauce!
